We’ve spent the last several weekends crawling around here, and thought I would share some pics. Lots of steel carnage, but a few gems as well.

…and a teaser shot of our recently acquired FZJ70, fresh out of the booth and ready for curing, then cut and polish. More to come…

Nice; been there. Maybe 20km or so south of Riyadh proper. Very hard to find much in the 4X range that's worth anything. Plenty of 7X and 8X stuff though. Good time of the year to be there; really warm the other 9 months of the year.

Parts galore, and we’re starving in the States <|3
It’s a scavenger hunt, but with fewer usable parts than you might imagine, actually. You can get lucky, but especially for the 70s, most all of the bodies there have been in gnarly rollovers and/or high speed collisions, probably due to driving like this. Most narrow nose models have been completely picked over.

I feel lucky to have it close to me for sure, but it’s not exactly a spare parts bonanza, especially if you are looking for one PN that is hard to find.

That was my experience as well after three trips. I did find and buy a couple of parts but mostly disappointing I would have to say. You probably have to be there every day to get the best parts as cars come in.
