Howzit!
Darrel here from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, just completed my first month here having moved from Cape Town, South Africa.
Now the fun starts, choosing a Land Cruiser. I was initially keen on an 1984 FJ40 that was for sale locally however while it may be fun I doubt it will be practical sitting in traffic or cross country camping trips.
I see a number of 2006-2008 shorty 76's around with between 90,000 - 140,000 kilometers (56,000 - 87,000 miles) on for about $17,000. I generally would have zero issues buying a 2nd hand vehicle with this mileage on back home but being new and not having a garage, my own tools or anyone I can harass for assistance my question is this - would you think I still bite the bullet and go for it despite everyone having a buy a new car mentality here?
In my mind the 4500 EFI engine is pretty bullet proof but keen to here feedback from those in the know?
PS. my vehicles before moving in Feb were a kitted Jimny, don't revoke my membership now
and a KTM 690 Enduro
