This is how I carry mine. Very little extra space is needed.

Ha. A rail. How quaint…
My sockets are loose in a bag so I have to grab an 11 every time I’m searching for a 10 or 12, like it should be.

(But seriously, thank you for the suggestions and tips everyone)

Throw that 11mm across the street and replace it with a 7/16. You'll never get it mixed up again.

What a week!

Ask @OlYellr about this one...

This guy was a hoot to talk to. I saw from another photo posted here that he also took this on Black Bear. Wow.

Got out the long lens on Engineer and looked for some interesting compositions.

My drive home was extended by several hours... this being one of the reasons. Made a few detours, including this one in Kansas.

Lots more to edit. I'll post more in here and on instagram: @ plainscruiser and @ erikjohnsonphoto

Cool shots! The guy in the Unimog went down Black Bear right before me and he said that was his first time on the trail. He went up Poughkeepsie the next day. Apparently he lives a few blocks north of me. Small world.

The guy in the Unimog was by himself and went down the steps on Black Bear without anyone spotting him.
Pretty impressive for a rig that size !
The passenger side rear wheel lifted a couple of feet off the ground. đŸ˜³
