Are you doing your own sewing? That's impressive. You and my wife should chat she's spent her career in clothing manufacturing and production.
One of my 45's that will be there i did the seats in a tan sunbrella. And we call it fabric welding, not sewing. Always keeping my eyes open for a toyoda machine. This was a quick just get the door functional thing. I have quick hinges and they are in a different location than stock so moved the pins on an old set of besttop doors. I am donating a set of mcdesign quick hinges to the raffle and you can see how they work on the tan 45.

Pardon my ignorance on the terminology! I look forward to checking out all of the above next week.

I’m unfortunately not part of the SAS this year, but I am at the KOA this week in my GX until Friday. We left the 60 at home this trip since it’s our first time up here. Anyway, if some of y’all get here a little early, I’d like to meet some of you. Been following this thread since it started. It’s been great up here this week.

Always nervous about temps.. put this in tonight. Pretty simple install.

Since I didn’t have anything slamming around in my cargo area I figured I’d brew up a fridge slider tray with no stop/lock.

Big mistake! When I switched from a carb to Holley Sniper EFI with the LED screen with all sorts of numbers displayed including temps…well I can no longer NOT look! I think I miss all the real beauty when driving now. Ignorance might be better? LOL

I run a Koso. much better then the OEM gauge

But I taped into the outlet pipe off the head for a true reading of the coolant.

I'm not sure how accurate it well be going to the head like that ?
Your setup is definately more ideal. This was just a 4mm dia K type thermocouple that I put inside a tight slip fit in a drilled bolt into an unused hole.. it tracks with the IR thermometer, so it should at least provide indication of rising temps better than the stock guage.

Anything is better the the stock gauge on a 80 it stays right in the middle tell it's to late 😲 well documented here on Mud.

I better get back to packing 😂😜

Also I can stop storing my fire extinguisher in hidden away and in an unsecured manner as I took advantage of @CruiserTrash ‘s SAS sale and got me a storage dealy bob thing. Stoked…

Ive seen more than one 60 / 62 backglass broken by thing like this Ian. Throw a strap on it or I can bring my glass tools with me this year.
I’ll stuff one of the kids back there to hold it, dog is too valuable….

(I’m about to come up with a solution but needed more beer… shhhh…)
