cant wait to call this base camp - only 66 more sleeps!

@rhah You’re back?? Good to see you!

I finally got my Con-Ferr Rack assembled and installed. Scrap 5/4 decking as the floor. The boy helped and seemed to enjoy himself?!?
I have some pressing mechanical issues I should be addressing but at least now I'll get worse MPG.

Worse mileage is always the goal. 🤣

I don't think I've tugged my little camping trailer down the interstate with the 40 until this past weekend. Dropped my mileage 3-4mpg. I only find that interesting because it didn't seem to really impact the 80 significantly. I'm guessing with the added girth of the 80, the trailer tucks into the draft a little better. Both have the HP ratings of a French watch. (Not Swiss)

I see a much larger impact to MPG with 2 big Hardigg cases and camping gear on the roof of my FJ62 than when pulling my mini-truck trailer, even though it's overall ~1200 lbs more weight. As bad as the aerodynamics of a LandCruiser are, it's not to hard to make them noticeably worse!
