Did you do the lines?
My AC works great as long as I add a can every few months or so.
Yes, The PO had put in an aftermarket condenser so I had Cruiser Matt make up all new lines as mine were a mixed bag. My neighbor has all the pro equipment to evacuate and fill A/C systems so we pulled vacuum on my setup for 1hr with no leaks so filled it up. That said, I had to replace everything in the engine bay except the condenser.

You do have the market cornered on fruits. hahaha .. "As a born and raised California" that explains a lot !!! For the record I do pretty much hate everyone. I tolerate the ones who own heelers yeehaw!! Richard you're ok even for a Californian.

I saw a video, easy to do in that section, sounds like an already tough recovery made more difficult by modern automotive technology, that tells me all I need to know about the 250.

That is disappointing to hear about the lack of gratitude, hopefully just an oversight during the moment. I have only met and spoke to Ben briefly at Vendor night, Raffle, etc. at Cruise Moab, he seems like a solid guy and a little out of character from my brief interactions, in fact just after Marlin’s passing he told a couple of great stories of Marlin’s trial manners/generosity and trail lesson’s learned. Hopefully, he circles back with a Big Thanks and package of your favorite beverage for the assist!

Back to a SAS question and wheeling the San Juan’s:

Better experience wheeling an FJ40 or 80 Series?

Take the 40. Trade some comfort for fun. To me wheeling this area in a 40 just makes me feel more connected to the terrain (figuratively speaking!). Maneuverability especially in a few areas if there's 2 way traffic is also a plus. Any solid axle cruiser is plenty capable for these trails, just comes down to preference really.

Been driving this thing everywhere lately. Was planning on getting A/C in it and working on interior and insulation about now, but 3 1/2" of rain in 30 mins the other week had me switching gears to gutting and remodeling the basement instead. I'm told A/C will be a condition of this rigs attendance this time around.. if nothing else the ol' 62 is always down to ride.

Road work continues on Camp Bird Rd.

I mean, that's neither false or unfunny.

As to why they are hopping on it, its a road. I'm guessing that they risk state and federal funding across the board by not keeping the road open.
I'm also guessing that there is a massive amount of bureaucracy involved with either closing or abandoning a road and/or right of way. Even a minimum maintenance road.

Oddly it's real . it is off the County's verified face book page . It's tourism money. That road isn't open Ouray looses a ton. That is why Ouray county is always the 1st to open trails and maintain them with Silverton right behind. There may be Fed funds there if so Telluride doesn't think it is worth it . They are waiting for someone else to pay for fixing the back side of imogene ..

The funny part about the whole statement, official or not, is the insensitivity towards swinging a dead cat. 🐈
I mean surely some over sensitive PETA representative can get involved now and change the way the county represents dead animals. This unhinged behavior will not be tolerated and I as a proud Texas tourist will not stand for such an outrageous statement.

I also felt for the cat but I’m a Californian hiding out as a Texas resident.

Hows the standby registrations going? I dropped the ball this year and wasn't paying attention 😒

Based on this guideline, looks like I chose correctly as I have a 60 series and an English Lab. The English Lab is a bit like a 60 with an h55 though, better power down low in 1st and lower revving in 5th when she's on the move:

Nice thing about being from Minnesota. People just don't give AF. 🤣
Maybe my words were misconstrued as being serious. I'm a card carrying member of the National Sarcasm Society..
