Pagggginnnngg Dennnisss, get out your dials....

Looking forward to seeing where its going to go Ted!

Mine is starting to make progress, hoping to get some thirds tomorrow if all goes well. I updated my build thread the other day. https://forum.ih8mud.com/79-95-toyota-truck-tech/350081-new-89-89s-rule.html

Keep the pics and details coming.

I was poking around in your thread a couple weeks ago, looks good. I wish mine were an extra cab.

Ok, since there's nothin else going on in the Ga board these days it's time for a little update

Finally got my hand throttle installed, gonna take some gettin' used to but it works. Pulled a hand brake from an old Schwinn 10 speed, found some brake cables at Wally world and a little fab work to tie it all together.

fabbed this up for the throttle body, pictured upside down the cable runs in the channel and slips into the hole on left side

ran the cable and strapped to the OEM throttle cable

mounted to the shifter off the left of the knob so it wouldnt hit when you pull it back.

Where's your helmet? You're gonna need it with an in-cab cage aren't ya?

Nice job on it for sure though! I see its bolted to the floor; is it removable? Where'd ya do the bending?

it's close but you aint tall nuff to worry bout it:flipoff2:. Yep, removable. All bent, cut, drilled and welded under the burnin sun in my driveway.

Looking good!

Had to put a ball joint on the ifs on Saturday and got my 2" BL on the weekend before. 5.29 front on the way need a rear 5.29 third so I can mount my 35s. Mine is getting there.

So, you ain't wheelin cause you said you were broke...x2. Just wrenching on it still after the new tube and such or you actually break something somehow and having to fix?

Finally got the junk running again. After breaking my drive shaft at Ralphs in July again I'd decided that I'd had spent my last dollar fixing the same part twice.

broke it trying to get up this rock, caught the shaft near the diff flange and snapped like a twig.

So, to prevent that from happening again I moved the trac bar from the top of the axle housing to run along side the drive shaft. It sits about an inch lower than the shaft and now acts as a guard against rocks.

Pre-bent it toward the drive shaft to get it close. Only thing left to do is flex out the rear suspension before burning in the welds and cut the shark fin off the top from the old bar.

Looks good. Who did your drive shaft work?

I couldn't say who did the original work but I think Ted can claim the most recent mod. :)~
Ain't that right Ted?

dammit man, rubbin salt in the wound. :flipoff2: Ron's drive lines did the work, did a great job and super fast. 3 miles after installing the new shaft I put a nice new modification to it. :bang::bang::bang:

T-Good thing you guys got out of TC when you did, looking at the radar you'd be over the roof deep in water right now. good time?

the evidence: An "A" for effort and a "B" for execution on the new trac bar, just glad it wasn't an "F"
