After emerging from the TC ride John and I both sustained nice dents in our front axle housings so John ordered up some 8" weldable pipe caps to resolve the problem.
So today I stepped out of the office around noon and got to work on mine, 3 hours later this is what I came up with...
Step 1: Cut along dotted line
Step 2: Add a little bling/reinforcement
Step 3: Weld to axle housing
Step 4: Never have to worry again!!

What did you do bump a speed bump with your front diff?

That thing is going to fill up with mud on the first trip out. Where are the drain holes in the bottom?

Well after bending the pi$$ out of my tie rod at GSMTR a few weeks ago and then driving home on a "booty fab" repair it was time beef it up a little. A quick call to Marlin and a week later I got some good TRE's and expect to have a new stronger TR build by tomorrow. That will leave my current "S" shaped one for a trail spare.
The problem, well not really. This is actually the result of the problem, a POS part.

love em! crazy articulation and just soft enough to absorb the rough stuff without beating the crap out of you but firm enough to support the rig well. Its the first time I've been able to just point and shoot on the trail, er... well sort of.
There's 6 Ford springs per pack and I can add/remove ind. springs as desired.
Did you ever make a new tie rod or are we going to have to fix it again this weekend?

yep , all done but that doesn't mean we wont have to fix it again. if i break this one i'll have other issues going on.

not finished yet but made good headway. lights all welded back on, now just to reattach the bumper and add a little body work and paint and we're all good.
