Wait I should verify being the founding member. @POTATO LAUNCHER was I the first? I know
I missed out on the first 3.
You were the first person we have had flop while on the trails with us Jerrod. Rob was the second last year. Both recovered quickly although you have incurred the most trail damage to date. Not something we encourage. We want to see everyone drive home under their own power. There will be some of the most knowledgeable Cruiser folks on hand during SAS 8. If anyone has a need please reach out and the Family will get you back up and going fairly quickly.
Casey..

Ha! Yep, Matt has his own category for self destruction.
At least he removes the tail lights 🤷‍♂️

For what it’s worth. My bellhousing was already cracked before the trip and just happened to let get go DURING the trip.

And since then (four years ago) i have substantially decreased the amount of wrenching i do on trips. I’m over it now

These are some of the FAQ's we get each year if the new folks are curious.

  • Must have a Toyota Solid Axle 4WD vehicle to attend. All solid axle swapped Toyotas are welcome.
  • Vehicles must have a up to date fire extinguisher. Please have easy access to it in case of a fire or be willing to use yours if someone else is in need.
  • Have some sort of recovery tool, either a tow rope in good repair, shakles and or a winch that is in working order. Please know how to use them safely if a recovery is required.
  • Please have a way to communicate with your trail leader and other vehicles in your trail group. GMRS / FRS are the preferred radio for this. Cheap hand held family walkie talkies with a GMRS /FRS designation are acceptable.
  • We ask that you display your Trail Flag visibly on your vehicle as to identify you as a participant.
  • Dogs are always welcome at SAS as long as they are people and other pet friendly. Please note that KOA Ouray requires your pet to be leashed at all times when in public spaces.
  • Please be kind and courteous while in the campground and around the communities that we visit. SAS will have the majority of the KOA booked this week but there will be other people not part of our group staying there. We are representing the Cruiser Community while we are in Ouray and surrounding areas. Please obey all traffic laws. We have had good standing in the area for 7 years now. It’s good to hear that the locals enjoy us returning each year. KOA Ouray has a strict speed limit of 5 MPH while on their property and a quiet time after 10pm. Just put it in low range and idle through.
  • Be mindful of the NFS and county roads we use. Stay on trail unless it is absolutely necessary to avoid a problem. Please do not drive or park on the Tundra.
  • Stay on marked trails, don’t drive over vegetation, cross streams only at designated fording points where the trail crosses the stream, drive over (not around) obstacles to avoid widening the trail, and respect all signage and barriers.
  • The vehicle traveling up the hill has the right of way. This is because the vehicle traveling uphill may need to maintain momentum, and because it is more difficult and dangerous to back down a steep narrow trail. Common sense should prevail though; if it is easier and there is room for the uphill vehicle to pull over, it wouldn't make sense to expect the downhill vehicle to back up the hill. Either way backing up is tough. If you are going up a big obstacle like a long, steep rocky climb, it may make sense to send a spotter up on foot to make sure the trail is clear and to warn any on-coming vehicles.
  • We want everyone to have fun while attending SAS. If you have an issue with your vehicle please reach out to us. There are some of the best Toyota and LandCruiser mechanincs in attendance. We will make sure you are taken care. No one gets left behind when you are with us.

@mattressking ? Or are you still living in Jimmy's garage?
I couldn’t let Jimmy house such white trash such as myself 😂

I’m in Idaho for a while….perhaps I’ll grace some folks with my shotgunning at the campsite.

Paint is wa
Am I the only one who still needs to finish painting his rig? I still have plenty of time, right? 😂😂😂

The prep is getting real over here. I even washed under the hood. 😆

That left front corner behind drivers headlight is begging to be jammed with something Karl. Has to be something that can fill every available space under that hood. 🍻

I thought we were getting Orange shirts this year? I see the bags.

Share away, it's open to everyone! I've put it on a couple of my own Mud threads (in the 60 and Small Business sections), my Instagram, as well as sending out an email blast to previous customers (which I only do maybe 4-6x per year). Any shares would be greatly appreciated!
Done. Hope you get incredible response.

Also.....any chance you're making fuseable link for the 62? Mine is.....trash!
