@ThomasMore66

It may be interesting peak under the leather on your seats, seems like I've heard rumor of leather over cloth manual seats on some of the early 80s and wonder if yours may not be another instance of those?

Very bold print! It's all leather. Toyota leather. I had seat heaters installed for my wife (now I know how awesome they are) and it appears to all be stock. Only had 94.5k miles on it when I bought it. I've been told the color combo is a bit different, but it works for me. All retro.

Gamviti for the seat gears

Check this for parts costs. I can buy online and ship to my door for less than my local Toyota with 'Mud discount.

Also look at the 'Mud vendors for stuff you need, like cupholders, fire extinguisher brackets, seat extenders, rear gull-wing windows, used parts, and more.....

Dude! That is cheaper. I've been looking for some center caps for my 1997.

Well went to replace the plugs .31, wires, cap and rotor today. Got done and don’t start!! Everything is the way it should be and matched up! I did not do the TDC as the rotor can only go on one way? It’s keyed so?? It cranks over and wants to fire but won’t... I do have the intake tube off but I don’t think that would keep it from firing?

I taped my intake tube back together and put it on and she fired right up! Wow lol can’t wait for the cxracing one to show up tomorrow!

Best tranny (oh, I can feel the flames coming), the new engine, the sweet, low dash, and oh, those acorn lug nuts.
P.S. How's your head gasket?

Don't forget the strongest starter available from the factory ;)

There are some downsides; the OBDII trucks get better mileage, and since there were only 2 years used parts are not as readily available.

Just ordered air filter, plugs, wires, cap n rotor, pcv valve, thermostat, radiator, water pump all from Toyota for about 700$

I read a lot of reviews on the radiators and after deciding I figured this radiator went 25 years so might as well just pick up one from the stealership

Better learn to use RockAuto where you can. Had to buy an alternator last week. Dealer wanter 450.00 for new Denso and I bought a Denso reman for 109.00 delivered (once I get the core to them). Got the alternator in TWO DAYS. Some things the dealers (and I said dealers as in plural) are great on and other things not so. You'll get the hang of what OEM to use and not so much. I have saved a lot by search. Some Amazon, some DEALERS, some eBay, some Rock and some local area wrecking yards.

This is not my first build or expensive toy. I do shop around but my dealership is one block from my house so sometimes I just don’t care about the price or money. I like the convenience!

Got the trail gear low pro bumper on tonight, now just need to install my warn winch!
