Yup.Are you planning on making a modified version of your front seat storage bins?
Yup.Hijack: Is that your naked Goldwing under the cargo blanket? I was wondering if you still had that thing. Me, valentine, Jman, and 3jvj are probably doing an Oregon coast ride in August... probably hotel / credit card mode, not camping...
kevinmrowland said:Yup.
Working on that right now.
Yup.
Why, you need to borrow it for the ride?
That's the only bike I have left now (I asked too high of a price for that one since I like it so much) It's doing a real good job holding up that blanket these days.
Hummm, yeah, I guess I didn't post anything that shows that.
You can kind of see it here:

It looks better, you'll just have to take my word for it for now.
No kidding that would really open up the mounting possibilities. All the drilling and countersinking an threaded inserts get old, lots of chances to screw it up as well.
I'm working on the carpet now though and it's nice to be able to unbolt the rails and then bolt them back down over the new carpet.
So it has it's advantages.
Yup.
Working on that right now.

You need to sell those....
Yup.
Working on that right now.

Oh, thanks! That would be fun, but I would have to camp though and I don't think I could keep up with a VFR.I bought a '90 VFR750R, it's in val's garage waiting, well except when he's riding it to work to "test" it.![]()
I was inviting you.![]()
Real men know how to sew!He welds, he bends metal, he sews.....its Superwrench!
Well... It "bolts-in" now. So it's a start. You need to sell those....
I drilled out the spot welds on the stock brackets but left the front cross brace. The new box is bolted to the 4 seat mounts, the two middle body mounts and the seat belt mounts. That is sick my friend, good workIt looks like you cut off the factory seat and console brackets, then attached this box system to the tub somehow. Nutserts through the floor?
I'm first in line when this becomes the newest product for the 60.![]()

3/8" dia x 3" Linch Pin. Great idea Johnny, ashamed that I didn't do that years ago. What length pin did you use?
When I figure out how much they are going to cost. When are you going to start selling the seat bracket / storage bin setups?
I'm constantly working at it, I think this is technically way past the third time.I redid my interior twice, and it doesn't even look half as nice as this.... maybe in a few years, third time will be the charm....![]()
That's actually a calibrated seat inspection tool.in the first pic, with the front seats, what is that funny looking seat in the middle? i haven't seen one of those before![]()
I had already switched to 134a since we were in NY. There is plenty of R12 around here still though so I might switch back.R-12, 134, or the new R-Elebentybizjiooion12345....?
(Yeah, we got our re-certify letters this week.)
That's actually a calibrated seat inspection tool.
I got the version that matches the interior so it's an understandable confusion
