So, I found a guy locally to tackle this issue. He or I will cut it all out and he will weld in new metal.
I'll also wire wheel the old gutter putty out to replace with the 3m stuff I read about on another mud posting.
I'm curious if there is prefab FJ60 gutter material out there?

Under that paint is going to be a very very dire rust situation.. It's not just gutters, the roof skin will be entirely compromised in many sections. There's $1000s worth of work if you're going to do that properly. If you're just looking for a cosmetic tidy up with loads of bondo that'll be good for 6mo or so - your backyard guy may be ok?

nasty
theres a @theglobb on here that feels your pain....

Eeesh. There is so much rust you can't see I would hesitate to start cutting into it. Where would you stop?

To your question though, I've never heard of a pre-fab gutter material. I suspect you would have to custom make the pieces. There is an image on the forum somewhere of the cross-section cut of a roof, showing the actual shape of the gutter. If I can find it I'll post it up.

Here it is. Credit to @beatle_bayly for posting this up in this thread.

That's the kind of rust you remove with a hammer rather than a grinder. Someone has painted some heavy stonechip or similar over the rust, which has hidden it and allowed it to worsen. I would not spend anything on that until you have the paint off and can see what a vast undertaking a repair would be. I can't see that ever being economically viable to repair unless you do the work yourself and value your time very cheaply.

Gutter strips are not sold separately but would be simple to bend up. It's everything else (roof skin, upper structure of cab, A pillars, sills and more) that will be harder to make.

Having removed my roof skin to tackle roof rust on my truck, I bet you have way way more rust under there than you can see...
Well, Im about to find out. Once to contractors are finished with my new house roof, ill remove the RTT and INTI roof rack to see ways there.
Thank you all for your replies.

Curious to hear what the prognosis is. Hopefully however bad it ends up being, you're able to ultimately get it fixed.
