So just bought my first Lx470 with 167k on it. Driving it back on the highway from where i got it, it lost power and died. It flashed the check engine light and the a/t fluid heat light.

got it off facebook marketplace from a competent man so no shady business there i hope.

anyways. towed it back to my place and in the morning tried to jump it. after disconnecting the battery’s and reconnecting them i got it to run for about a minute before it sputtered and died. it’s not running any codes on the obd2 and there are no blown fuses. i can’t get it to run for that long anymore so it now when i jump it it just runs rough and dies.

not sure what could be wrong with it and i need all the help i can get!

Check the easy things first,
Sounds like fuel or electrical related, most likely a bad battery and or bad alternator.
After checking those two i would investigate fuel pump. Seems like the coils and plugs are fine but i would check those after.
Good luck
Dont give up!

Post a video of your starting attempts. It might help people diagnose it.

Get hooked up with Techstream or an equivalent and look at the live data.
it'll allow you to monitor voltages, pressures, temps, signal graphs, etc
