Next and hopefully last small issue to diagnose and fix on our new GX.

At highway speeds when I transition from very light throttle to no throttle or the opposite I get a noise / slight vibration like hitting a rumble strip only much much quieter. It happens more going from on to off throttle.

Initially I thought it was tires so I swapped the wheels / tires with the known good stock set I had from our other GX, but the noise / vibration persisted. I haven't greased up the driveshafts, but that is next on my list since that seems to fix weird NVH things.

Any other ideas?

Search on t4r on "rumble strips". Most say time for tranny flush and fill.

How many miles on your truck?
When I picked mine up with about 150,000 miles on it it was doing the same thing.
After hearing quote a bit of skepticism over a full system flush due to potentially creating bigger problems I went with the drain & fill option.
I picked up two jugs of Valvoline Maxlife ATF (WS compatible) and proceeded to drain and re-fill with the exact same quantity then drive it around to circulate the fluid then repeat until the two jugs were empty. On the last fill I added a tube of Lubeguard shudder fix.
15,000 miles since then and no more rumbling, shifts perfectly, nice and smooth.
Hope that helps.

Been meaning to do a ful flush on our other gx. Guess its time to do it on both. Im not worried about disturbing sediment like people warn you about. That happens when you use a machine to flush the system. I did a flush on our old 4runner at 190k and it was fine. Just took my time letting 1 qt pump out of the return line, turn off the car, add a quart to the pan, turn on the car, pump another quart, repeat.
