Back to work
Here are some pics that I have available. Some background: I bought her around 2000. 350, SM420 4 speed already installed. One night on the way home, she stalled, I looked under the dash and saw my fuse block on fire. I blew that out and waited a bit for it to cool down, started back up (more like three times) to get her home. Started looking into the wiring (PO had a hand full of all green wires shoved under the dash) and bought a new one. It went on from there... I started rebuilding the axles, and decided to put the lift in. From there I went with the U-bolt flip kit, and still working on it. When I find the other pics I will post up more.

A couple of when I lent out my floor jack, so I used my high lift, but it locked up and flew out. That was a fun night.

Wire Loom.

Wire Loom?

What the hell is that? I have to post those pics of what I have done. I only left all the wiring out to make sure everything works. I had some difficultly with the turn signals and flashers but that is all working.

BITTER SWEET progress on 40.

The new owner to be has been coming by to work on the 40. It took me a bit to remember how everything goes back together but the front axle is built back up (I know, it is couple hour job, but this is my first one) and we tackled the brake lines tonight, almost done with that. The bitter part of the work done is that it will leave my garage when done :crybaby: ! So I guess this thread will be worthless in some time. Time to look for another one :D

Well, I got my last payment for the 40 today. I am sure after he finishes the build in will be crying (like I was when I sold my mustang). I guess now I need to figure out my next mod for the 80 :grinpimp: ! :bounce: So I guess this thread can be removed since it is not my project anymore.

Don't remove it. Just force him to join MUD and start his own thread. :grinpimp:

But I'll bet it's nice to get some cash to throw at the 80.

Dan

Why delete the thread? It's good history. I did take him off the project list, though.

Working on that. Kinda hard to get him to join since he has a bad opinion and not knowing how we joke around.

I guess that is not a bad idea, incase it ever comes around again. I just have to write up everything that I have done to this point.

Bad opinion? Is he one of the HDC haters from the Cedro run-in?

It was a Cedro peak run, but not the one with Evan and I believe Rory (they left a Jeep? stranded even though they ran after them for help). Rory was on this run and gave me a tug, but he said Ash made a comment about me being his B and I have to clean his tug strap. Which I did not mind since I took a stupid line and got stuck. He also said that someone told him that MUD members are stuckup A-holes. I told him we all give each other crap, but in the end we will be there when one needs help. But no matter his opinion, here's to you all  !

Guilty as charged. <sigh>

Dan

How did you know he named you? :flipoff2: You never even met him! All the help you offer anyone can't get you rid of that title. ;) It must of have been me! Not sure, Shawn said it was him too!

Edit: I just got your joke. I know how you hate everyone here. Not as fast as I used to be on humor.

So it was the guy with the blue 40? Or your buddy that rode with you? And more importantly did you clean Ali's strap like a good little biotch? :p

Since Rudy and Rory took off for home with my strap, I called Rory to remind Rudy to hang on to it and I'll pick it up later. It sounds like Rory and Rudy had a CB exchange about the strap!!

Don't lie, I remember Rudy trying to give you the strap back and you said to return it when it was clean. Besides calling him biotch isn't beyond you :D

I cleaned it :flipoff2:. Yes it was Dan in the blue 40. He is a good guy but does not put much trust in anyone until he gets to know them.

Ash, don't get defensive. You helped me in providing the strap, so I didn't mind cleaning it for you. Like I said I took the wrong line and I had to pay for it.

Nah, I'm not defensive at all, no worries.

Tell Dan to install some useful front and rear recovery points before he comes out again! He was gonna use my strap (to pull you out) and wrap it around his rear bumper thing (home made) and slice it due to the sharp edges.
