For next years event- I'm working on getting each participant a commemorative John Evans bobblehead doll. Now, if I can just find a vendor to make that ginormous head....

Dan,
Was referring to the two knuckle stud issues that contributed to Sunday's exit strategy delays on Cadillac Hill.

But, you bring up a good point.
early stud pattern knuckles, taller-tires and Rubicon don't play nice together ;p

without Gary, I'm sure delays would have been much LONGER

everyone else,
My buddy Craig told me a neat stud-fix trick:

Battery powered dremel or something similar
Cut simple slot into top of broken studs
Use regular screw-driver to remove studs
Apply propane-torch if you used red lock-tite on studs

thanks for the tip :D

Rubithon is ALWAYS an awesome time

I never get to wheel as much as I would like, but doing Rubithon (driving or passenger) always makes up for it :)

This year I was in the Wednesday Wagon-Run, lead by Andrew and his A-team: Rick, Joe, Jeff and Alvaro.
You guys did an awesome job, of not only getting everyone through but talking care of carnage along the way.

a few highlights:
Tony's last year as Rubithon Chairman...will be difficult to fill his shoes.
FJ80's can wheel
Terri passing the Lead Kitchen Role to Ross does not mean "hell's kitchen"...good luck with your embroidery business :)
Never been so exited about a cooking apron...Marlin's/TLCA/Rubithon aprons are
Early knuckle studs with taller-tires on the con don't mix, but you guys already knew that.
RC Crawlers on the con

Yesterday I saw that miller beer commercial, the one where this guy walks into a bar which actually turns out to be heaven.
for me Rubithon, along with my friends and family would definitely be part of my Heaven....God, can I have a spot please :)

enjoy the pics,
manny

Great Pics!!!

A lot a faces that I know… the trucks as well…

But you guys play to switch drivers? I know the cars, but the driver’s face is not the face that I was expecting…

Rick, you must have those pink shackles… and some elephant stickers as well…

Sammy, your truck looks like the Ultimate 80!!! Pismo is waiting for you for the Ultimate test drive, roll over again and continues playing…:steer:

I love Gordon, but I certainly didn't want you to feel like you were in Hell's kitchen. You and Greg were a huge help to me, I hope you know that!

The aprons were cool, it was a nice change to the normal shirt. Next year I'll order more.

Thanks again to you, and everyone else who helped pull off the event!

On the way from The Springs to Tahoma La Cabra was quite heavy. Besides her catering role, she was carrying stuff for 4+ people.
When I saw Rick going up Million Dollar Hill, I knew that it was best to use the winch.

Here's a pic of La Cabra at her best:

BBQ Ribs & ham and cheese croissants
