I'm having the VSC TRAC/ABS codes on the dash so I hooked up Techstream and got C0210(rear right speed sensor) and C1223(ABS control).
Checked the speed sensor and saw both wires had somehow gotten nicked so I'm guessing they are shorting which is causing C0210.

Based on my experience removing the front speed sensors, I removed the locking bolt from the rear speed sensor and expected to just slide it out like the front ones.

Not happening easily. The sensor will twist in the hole, but not slide out. It doesn't move easily, its tight, but will rotate in the axle housing with pliers.

Am I missing something? It seems like these should just back out of the hole like the front.

IIRC, it should just pull out after you remove the bolt. Maybe try squirting some lubricant in there to loosen it up. They have a tendency to "stick".

Can confirm, it pulls right out. There is an oring that likely has some schmoo above it in the bore. Just be gentle and pull it straight out.

Finished the speed sensor removal today.
This should have been a three minute job but as with my luck, it was a PITA.

See photos. Mine was stuck in place with corrosion. I couldn’t believe how hard getting it out was, even after multiple PBlaster shots overnight and twisting it each time to work the oil inside.

you can see from the pics how badly I tore it up trying to work it out of the hole.

installation of the new one should be easy...I hope.

Hope the pics help someone.

Helps if you go nuts with the stiffest bristled pipe cleaner to the hole before reinstallation.
