Haha. A lot has changed on this rig "from beginning to end". I don't think the changes (or stories) will ever cease.

id love some updated stories. For me, this is THE RIG that I aspire to, for my goals and purposes

very amazing truck. This is what I envisioned when I bought mine. I admire you for sticking with your guns on the build. I have no intention of going with anything bigger than 33's on mine either.

Tell me this again in a year ;)

Wow, old ROTW thread has been revived. I guess i need to update the setup. Much has changed, like adding a Adventure Trailer, including selling the rig and buying it right back.

Let me dig up some stuff and some recent pics and i'll add it to this thread.

Ok, so i really don't know where to start. We've gone further with the truck mods since the original ROTW 1 year build up. From that point, we swapped out the kaymar swing outs to dual spares.

We ended up buying an Adventure trailer used from Mario and having it painted to match the rig. Here's how we got it... my sticker phase..

Then I tore down the trailer, bought 80 series wheels and new tires and had it painted to match the cruiser..

Had to go with the two tone..

Obviously we moved the ARB fridge and Tent over to the trailer. We also installed a Draw Tite Activator III brake controller.

The trailer came fully loaded with dual batteries, solar controller, 1400 watt inverter, fridge slide, kitchen, awning, 19 gallons of fresh water, 2) 5 gallon fuel gerry cans, trailer brakes, lock N roll coupler, axe and shovel mount etc etc.

We then went and traded one of the Fiamma awnings for the ARB 8 footer.

The tent received a changing room

What a gorgeous rig you got going (gives me something to attain). Love the trailer. Congrats on the engagement - was checking out your great blog.

Brad

Next was the Outback bed extensions... in case of foul weather Yosh can hide out and sleep in silence.

The fridge slide stayed in the rig so if/when we go on day trips we can yank the fridge out of the trailer and toss it in the 80.

The extensions create a massive storage area. We keep the sleeping bags and other items in the rig full time.

The 80 has dual diehard platinums now... but for added insurance we installed a solar controller under the hood.

We have an 80 watt solar panel that has a custom easel so we can direct it properly and use it for either the truck or the trailer.

Also, i installed a in cab winch controller and a few other things.

I just LOVE it when people throw up ROTF II, it is great to see where and how rigs got to the places they are, especially after the initial build. I can't wait to go through this SocalFJ.

PS - good call on the hankooks, I went with the 295 MTs on your advice

Thanks Mark, that was my next step. The above posts explain it all.

When the cruiser and trailer left... i felt like i was giving away my kid.

We are very lucky and very happy to have the entire setup back in the same shape we left them.

It was all meant to be and we don't miss the SMB one single bit. (well yosh may , but not me :D )

Awesome??? This is complete insanity. Can’t you guys tell when someone is reaching out for help? This guy needs a 12-step program. Full-blown case of modifyitious. Be careful this disease is highly contagious. You can even get it just by looking at these pictures. In fact you have it right now!!

Tare! LOL!!!! Yes, im a modificationaholic! I actually have some parts on "layaway" for when the economy gets better and i start taking a paycheck again! in year 2012 :D (Now that's a problem!)

Hahaha.

:slap:

I shouldn't laugh, it's a very serious situation.

I do have to ask this, because the story is so incredible. Both why did you sell the SMB after buying it, and how did you convince people to sell back the cruiser and trailer?

Amazing man, cheers! If you can't answer the above Q's, no prob, I understand!
