Thanks for all the kind comments.....Its been very enjoyable bringing it around to where it is...I might even get to go on my first wheeling adventure this weekend...however small it may be it'll be a first for me......It'll be fun trying out the 4WD...

it's great that you stumbled across the land cruiser path on the road of life.. now that you're on it it will only become more and more.. and MORE of an obsession as time goes on. i am like you in that untill a friend introduced me to cruisers.. i'd never seen or noticed them before.. until a friend of mine.. who would later (sooner) become my landcruiser guru.. picked me up in his '78 fj40 9 years ago.. and i might've even said "hey cool jeep man".. and then he sharply said.. "HEY it's NOT A JEEP.. it's a TOYOTA LAND CRUISER.." and that is the day things changed forever..

Thats good stuff....My 7 yr old wears people out when they call it a jeep.....Happens quite frequently around here....again, just no Land Cruisers around....All we've ever known here is Jeep...

I just dont think I could bring myself to take something that nice Off Roading.

Yeah, Thats the very first wheeling trip...It was the very first camping trip for me and my 7 yr old son too....Joint venture between our Land Cruiser club and the Boy Scouts....
The vacuum activated xfer case and dash shifter worked like a charm and the 4wd pulled it nicely when we went up...Couldnt believe how it felt in 4wd....A first for me! Totally addictive....
