love the rig. keep up the good work.

crazy, we have a place where i used to frequent here in DFW that looks identical, right down to similar trees with similar sized path, and the one shot of the power lines.

I want to post some pics of my biggest trip in this truck so far. In late april of 2007 my dad and I met my very good frind Bob (Devo) in Fruita Colorado. We followed him the lenghth of the Kokopelli trail down to Moab. After 2 days wheeling at Cruise Moab we headed home.

Heading out. Packed ATF cooler with snow to cool down the auto. By the time we peaked Moncarch pass I was calling Steve Crase to find out if there was something wrong with my truck. He said, its fine. You are used to driving it around at 500 feet. Put it in a lower gear and let the 3FE sing. I learned that 3800 rpm for 30 mins wont kill a 3FE.

Keep'em coming! they're getting me through a stressful Tuesday!

Camp first day.

A big fuel tank has sure made a huge difference in how I pack for trips since then. I used every drop of the extra 3 fuel cans I brought. I would have 10 gallons to spare rolling into Moab springs if I were to do the trip agian. I don't pack near as much stuff up top any more.

Devo checkiing the Map.

The shelf road was a mixture of water sand and clay. It caked up so much that I had to throttle to keep the tires moving coming down the steep hill. The BFG AT's came off when I got home. I used to argue that you spend way more time on the road getting to the trail than on the trail, which drove my reasoning for the AT's. I now argue that good tires can mean the difference on the trail, which is enough to put up with the negatives of running a more agressive tire on an expedtion.

Thawing out my mom's seafood gumbo from the fridge at 8K feet. Def worth the price of admission.

I learned after this trip that you can convert the old liquid burner stove to use the cylinder. I now carry a small 4 lb bottle instead of using liquid.

After a brief moment of panic that I'd lost a starter I steped back and took the diagnosis step by step. Ground strap loose.... Done.

Not the most active entrance into the Canyonlands.

I was most struck by how quickly the terain changed from moment to moment on this trip.
