man that look great bro damn.....

great work. This is the stuff of street rods. You should bring the finished product to a rod show. Whens the last time you saw a Jeep at a NHRA event? (they will all say "nice jeep")

I tune in daily. Please stop your job and just work on the cruiser.

Thanks for the props:). I do get my hands into street rods / muscle cars, I guess that is why I am so picky. This is a FACTORY 1964 Dodge Super Stock Hemi light weight hood I am fixing. It is one of 50 factory built cars with an all aluminum front end. I have a bunch of tig welding to do on this and the fenders.

TTT, if you don't have any pics of the Cruiser, hook us up with some of the Ms.

Just for Nolen....a shameless plug for our D60 outer axle seals:D.

Aluminum Sleeves welded in for grill mount bushings. There are three of these in the lower grill shell reinforcement that I added.

Grille bolted down to one of the mills and finding a zero.

Shaving the lower shell so it is as flush as I can get it on the bottom. It warped some when i welded in the square stock.

Removed about .035" worth of material. The grille now stands up with no rocking effect and hopefully appears straight along the bottom....not that someone would notice 1/32"...but hey its a sickness you get when you have a father that is a machinist that works alongside you everyday.

Bushings installed for mockup purposes.

This is the start of drivers side apron mods...still working on it. Its getting alot easier with the grill firmly planted.

It is starting to finally look like a cruiser:grinpimp:. Carl from http://www.outbackoffroadgear.com/ hooked me up with a real nice split hood for it that I am picking up this weekend in Indy. Cruiser Clint also has a few parts that he is hooking me up with for the hardtop project.:beer:.
Thanks guys:grinpimp:!

Your fabrication skills are absolutly amazing. this is going to be an amazing truck when you are done.

Do you want to trade lives? I'll take your machine shop and you can have my desk job. You truly are a master of the craft!

Hi!

I will just join the choir, it is amazing to see tools, patience and especially skills in your kategory! On Discovery here they show American Hotrod and stuff like that, those guys are backyard tinkers by comparison!

Thanks for all the props guys.. I work with my Pops everyday...if we had drama like that we would both be dead probably. Those shows are made for TV bull****..no eye protection, no welding gloves, cutters flying out of machines, projectiles shot from air tools... sometimes I wonder what these show producers are thinking.
