Looks bad to the bone already!

Where does one buy the aluminum body parts from?

sweet ass build start fresh eh!! sick job on the frame too, looks like auqalu.com body parts to me

Im in love:beer:

Which one? I'm looking at the Synchrowave 200 and was wondering if it would be enough for occasional frame type work on 3/16"-1/4". Mostly it would be 20gauge to 1/8" but I want to be able to do a bit thicker reasonably well.

No worries on the hijack, hehehe. We use a 250DX Tig Runner (300 Amp machine) that is loaded with both Sequencers and Pulser modules. If you are going to weld 1/4" the 200 will do it (chamfered edges, multi pass, waiting on duty cycle) BUT i would recommend, depending on how much $ you have to upgrade to the 250DX and find a deal on one. You will like having the extra 'umph' for alluminum. If you ever want to talk welders, feel free to call me at the shop and we will rap anytime.

Thanks for the compliments guys:

We are working on body mounts and getting the tub squared up now. I will post some pics as soon as i have some :)

nice work larry! also, big props for posting this on here and not somewhere else. we all know that it'll be most appreciated on mud. your frame table and shop make me look like the preverbial "shade tree mechanic"!

really looking forward to watching this rig come together.

That is going to be a sick 45. I'm definitely going to follow this build. Can't wait to see more pics.

Very very nice.

Those welds are awesome. Every time I see them purty welds, it remids me I ain't no welder.

It reminds me why I wish I had a good TIG machine

Awesome build.

I'll be following the build up on this one for sure.

It looks to be the type of vehicle I've always wanted to build but have never had the resources to do.

x2 on wanting your workshop.

Thanks for the kind words:)... I have some more photos to share. Work is progressing slowly due to day to day demands...

We started getting the motor ready by pulling it out of its cubby hole and splitting the trans. It is a GM Gen III 6.0L HO engine and 4l65E HD trans. It will look brand new when it goes back in, plus we have some mods for it;).
