roll bar question

I have a non stock roll bar from my 1970 fj40 and i bought late model factory jumpers and want to mount them correctly, but cant because of back 45 degree supports on the bar (its a smitty built rollbar http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/viewimage.x/00000000/jackmikol/interiortubebarsW.jpg?sp=0), as opposed to the 90 degree factory supports.
The roll bar i currently have has the seatbelt mounts already on it. and i plan on getting the metaltech front profile cage kit
So here's my question:
would it be more cost effective to cut off the 45 degree supports get some steel tube bent to the right angles and weld them on(so its got the factory shape) or should i just order the oem replica bar from metal-tech as well. welding is not an issue.
How much do you think it would cost to get two 5ft lengths of tube and have it bent.

IMHO, not worth the extra time and effort since Mark at Metal Tech is as honest as the day is long. You won't go wrong with his products.

I would second the use of the metal tech cage, I have bought two of them so far and their great kits, through the others stuff away and build the metal tech cage all of it. Cheers, Larry

I searched a long time at different options...when I hit that stage I am going metal tech family cage. It will fit better if you buy all the parts at once and it is shipped flat for final assembly on site. Since you are going to get the front part of the cage anyway, why not make life easier and get the whole kit and be done with it.

Do not know what the pipe will cost you but by the time you get the pipe, cut it and bend it to fit, etc., you could be done with the other kit.
