Hello All: May I please ask of your help in identifying the part number/names for the hoses chewed by Rodents? I searched online and it seems to be ventilation hoses but not 100% sure. Please see the attached pics. Is it possible to replace these by myself or a dealer service is required? Please advise.

It looks like they are just sleeves / insulation and they appear to be yummy to rodents.
Check for damage to the actual hose, the inner part that has the spring clamp

You can buy this hose new and the part should come with it, you can try to replace with HVAC insulation like the one made for copper lines. They come split with a self adhere tape to seal. They have 3/8 or 1/2 ID etc, which may fit very well. There are some that is foam like pool noodle but there are softer ones that is similar to the factory sleeve.

Thank you. Appreciate the feedback.. you are correct for the most part the damage is to the sleeves except one hose.. where i can feel the marking ( cant really see it).

You seek a cat.

The one in my pic lives in the garage and kills any rodent she sees.

Dead bodies go outside. She doesn't eat them...just shows them as trophies.

I have in ultrasonic noise / lights deterrent installed under hood as I do a lot of BLM camping. I also have one under my trailer and inside my garage. I know they're not perfect, but this is one of those things that doesn't have a perfect answer. At the same time, I haven't had a problem in any of those spaces after installing.

Can you please share what you are using. I am looking for something like that. I have a "party/disco' light thingy in the garage to distract them.. though doesnt seem like working 100%. I even have placed the light under the truck when parked in the garage. :(

No guarantees. But it's cheap enough and easy enough to install. There might be newer ones but I've had this exact one that's still trucking along since 2020.

There is a strong possibility of a rodent nest under the manifold. Shine a flashlight into the opening under the front of the manifold just to the left of the oil filler and you can see any nesting material.

Look at he NHOU site they have a spray to deter rodents
I am using peppermint based rodent repellents. I have been applying it once/twice a month from last 7-8 months. I think it has reduced the activity but not eliminated rodents completely.

Can someone please help me understand the difference between these two parts? They look the same, fit LC 2016 per Toyota, yet price diff. Just thought check it here before I place an order. Thank you in adv.

Copy and paste each part number into a google search. You’ll see from the resulting photos they look very different and you can compare each to what you actually need to order.

THIS!!

I highly suggest you take a good peek under your intake before ordering your parts. Be prepared to replace the harness for the knock sensors (82219-60090). There are 2 gaskets on the intake (17170-0S030) but if you are gentle you can reuse them.

This is what I found under my intake 2 weeks ago

Even if your harness is still intact, I suggest you wrap it well with wiring loom and tape, I used Scotch #33+ tape. Honda makes a special anti-rodent tape that is laced with pepper, but it's hard to find and very expensive.

Thank you. I looked and it seems the harness is still intact. I could not see any nesting, tried to see rom the under the carriage as well... i am hoping these hoses and firewall insulation is only damage... :(

I have ordered and got it. Planning to install, wondering what would be the optimal location? I have two places where, i think, it can go easy. Any recommendations? Also, am i suppose to hear 'low' frequency sound? The location where it is just hanging off the harness seems to be too close to the engine... not sure if that matters... thank you for your help.
