Came by this online. No idea if they are any good or the source of their parts, just sharing.

Interesting......

I feel like I’ve seen this posted on here in another thread before. I’m pretty sure because I remember thinking to myself that this would probably solve my gearing issue (or cause a new gearing issue) and how could I best sell this idea to my wife…. It was at that point I decided that I had enough internet for the night and should probably go to bed.

Engine ordered today. 2-3 weeks shipping. Will update......

@ gaijin: Roger that. But life promises nothing. Let's embrace the forthcoming events....and deal....

Maybe we can even see and call....?

Thanks 2021 LC200! With your good wishes, I will!

UPDATE New
JDM engine is in-bound.
Delivery is scheduled for tomorrow.....

Update.... New
The JDM engine is in hand.
The fubar engine has been extracted.
More photos pending.......

Now we got some meat....
It looks like this was human error on the part of independent "mechanics" as best we can surmise on my end. Someone got in to this engine and perhaps did not torque 3 bolts to specs. One sheared and 2 backed out. Also note one bolt as non - Toyo. Looks like a hardware store substitute.......More info forthcoming...

Is that bolt even making contact with the washer? At least they didn’t skimp on a zinc coated mild steel option.. I guess.

I’m sure we’ve all had to do some questionable repairs just to hold you over until you can get to a parts store or home or whatever, but a hardware store fastener inside the timing cover is wild.

This is off your old or new engine?

This is the old fubar engine. I will try to mark up the 2 bolts that evidently just backed out and one sheared.....
