I'm in the process of doing the same exact thing just haven't gotten to it yet. My next step is to wetsand the bad areas, then spray on some top coat of the original bumper color, then final coats of clear to blend it in. Once I'm done I'll be compounding it to blend it with the rest of the clearcoat. I'll be doing the same to the area just under the windows along the driver's side which also has some failed clearcoat. My bumper is my test pig before I move onto the door panels.
