All the power in the world won't help if you're floating/bouncing downstream. Someone should've started recording earlier for the obligatory "Hold my beer and watch this" He was way to close to flipping it, can you imagine trying to open a door or window to get out then?

It is important to turn the traction control off in situations like the river crossing. I’ve been bouncing downstream in my 4Runner and could not spin the tires and couldn’t get any momentum. It’s awfully hard to remember how to shut it off and where the switch is when you feel like the truck is floating away.

Especially when several things are going thru your mind like, did I change my undies today, where's my life jacket, are they still holding my beer, damn I just made the last payment, why did I volunteer to go first and a million other thoughts.

No problems, that is after I changed my boxers. When I put new bumper on I spent an hour removing a ton of reeds and plant matter from the numerous radiators though. There are a couple of holes that you can drop into also, trick is to get a small bow wave going and ease thru. Make sure if you stall it that one of your buddies video's it for our amusement?
Reasons to submerge and float a 200 window-deep in a river:
