Can't do it...work is killing me....

Should be a good time thought...the Rising Sun folks always put on a good show...

If you leave the swap by noon, you'll be back in town in time for the HDC meeting.

Probably not. As of this last weekend ... There is construction in Castle Rock taking the freeway down to one lane. There is construction in Colorado Springs taking the freeway down to one lane. There is construction in Pueblo taking the freeway down to one lane. And there is construction in Trinidad taking the freeway down to one lane.

Plan on at least 7 hours from Denver to ABQ, assuming you drive 75-80mph when you can.

We would love to have any of our NM friends join us.

I would hate to miss the meeting, but the Rally sounds like fun. So Ken ... could we get more specific on what's going on? I see a car show so that would imply I should drive the 4Runner instead of the Camry (17mpg vs. 34mpg, ouch). What about the swap meet? How does one go about selling junk? How many "show cars" do you expect?

I work for the Colorado department of transportation and we don't have highway closures on the weekends, I would ASSume it's the same on I-25 coming up from NM.

I went up on Saturday and came down on Monday. I know it was one lane on Monday, and I seem to recall restrictions on Saturday too, but don't remember where.

nothing too complicated to the rally ...bring what you wanna sell, put it out/on/in your rig and sell sell sell ; )'

But I have a plant in my garden I need your help identifying. :D

I didn't put it there but it is intersting enough to leave it.

I suppose I could just take a picture of the leaves and seed pods and send you an email.

Marc

Ya, send pics. I recently received an email from a visitor with a plant question. He had planted strawberrys in some pots, and was sure the plants he had were not strawberry. I had a good laugh with that one. It was a pigweed, a common weed.

pappy, there are some pics of the rally and of the trails we plan on running Sunday. Trails should be complete by 3ish.

As far as swap meet, bring what you want to sell and lay it out in front or behind your truck.

It's always hard to tell how many show cars we expect. Any toyotas we consider a show car. If you want to bring the camry, thats fine to. It's more of a chance to hang out, bs, visit with friends old and new, see what vendors like Slee have coming up, check out some classics, some rock cralwers, and iother Toyota 4WDs. The FJ Trail team will be there and be giving a trail recovery class.

We have picked 3 great trail runs for Sunday as well.

Did I answer your question? Dan would be coming but he has to be with his "inlaws" :D he he he

Who's planning on going? I am thinking of leaving on Friday afternoon. Any one want to caravan?

Vince

Where are you thinking of camping? Which rig are you taking? I was thinking of going up highway 285 and possibly taking the 40.

Vince

Sounds like I won't have to plan to make much food.

No Jon, Rory, Vince, Greg or Shawn and we're still 12 days out.
