It runs from the blue ridge parkway down into Wilson's Creek area. Its not as technical as Richland but makes a nice loop coming from Charlotte. Ive also heard it call Roesboro Rd, and SRF192. Its the orange track in the lower left.

FSR 192 connects Roseboro road and Edgemont road. Dont bother with Jeep trail road..... its a dead end but would connect up to rockhouse gap and then old house gap if not gated. A shame. Have run that loop for years and both on NYE and new years. A fun loop

Do both. We should be done with Richland by noon. Plenty of time to get to Hendersonville
I am in, do you have a plan yet, like "meet at Mountain Stop (4220 Blowing Rock Blvd, Lenoir) by 9 or 8 am"?

CITGO - 2689 Blowing Rock Blvd, Lenoir, NC 28645 at 9:15. It's a little farther south than Mountain Stop but has better bathrooms.

Izzy's got a spare 80 he tows behind him. Two is one, one is none.
I don't, but my porters and support team follows with all that in the trailer. 
Actually, my th-9800 cheap Chinese mobile can do all 3. My $28 backup hand held Baofeng uv82 can do ham and FRS too. Hard to beat.

@Izzyandsue wete planning to do a trailside lunch after Richland before Old House. Just some quick and simple, unless your team includes a private chef in which case I expect duck confit
