How technical is it? I can't do it this week, just wondering if it is suitable for n00b with stock cruiser.
It used to be stock no problem. But we can verify for you this weekend just in case people have torn it up some.

192 absolutely.
Richland would be nice to have a traction aid and comfort behind the wheel offroad and/or company. Totally passable just may want to use the bridge where an option. The climb out of creek 3 has gotten a little worse, especially if as wet as new years day. There are some skinny shelves youll want to get up on vs off camber going beside. Came across some guys in a stock ford ranger that were removing what was left of their pass side running boards and fender flare....but it was a stock ranger ;) This climb i used rear locker on just to keep momentum and trail damage to a minimum.

So definitely wait for the K02 and the sliders ;) I'll do the Uwharrie n00b course and I'd never go out alone. I've got a stock LX so center diff only. Expensive upgrades have to wait until next year/upgrade the wife to a newer car or better yet, talk her into taking a moderately modded LX so I can buy a FJ60 lol.

It's just going to be so nice up there come spring and I'll looking forward to getting outside.

Do you always take the right line there? I always put my driver tire over the rock in the middle of the picture. Just wondering if the right line is easier.

One should never assume i take the best, smartest, or easiest line ;)

Simple answer is no. Was solo and looking for no drama and didnt pre walk it to see if it was dug out on back side enough to hit skid or slider. You could see someone had been smoking some tires on the rock and I just chose the simpler approach..... saw the nice tire groove on right that would keep the front end from moving laterally and putzed up it.

Along those lines, something my father told me while driving in the woods. "Sometimes it is better to just drive down the ditch rather than to try an avoid it and slide in."

You haters must think I am a barbarian. I have deep culinary expertise and will demonstrate by making vegetarian Ratatouille with a melange de legumes ey de penne pasta, and peach cobbler for desert. High end cooking my friends!

Feast your eyes on this concoction!

I thought that was a soup made out of mice. Admittedly, I never saw the movie.

I just did it the once, but iirc every "obstacle" has a bypass. If nothing else come hang out and watch the show. Always better with friends. You may even get to watch me get winched off of my roof!

@alethal if you wanted to ride with either me or @Izzyandsue we could scoop you up on our way up.

@JohnVee Actually this Tuesday looks clear. My office is in Steele Creek, I live fairly close to you, where Rea turns into Colony. Where's convenient for you?

Youre not allowed to roll that thing till i come admire it in current form ;)

And most obstacles do have bypasses but that creek exit not so much.... a few lines but no way around. And the few shelves mentioned would be way more uncomfortable to me off camber than just taking high line.

How about The Lodge? I'll PM you my number. Just let me know when you're leaving work. @joyRidaz You working from home that day?

This still good for time and place? Probably me and the boys.

Yep, the group has grown a bit. I thinks 3 or so 4Runners and a couple of the SEFJ guys have joined.
