I'd like to see the bat 270 side by side with the Foxwing. It would have to be light years ahead for me to justify twice the price.

The Foxwing has numerous issues with breakage during high winds. I have heard of many bein waranteed out because of broken knuckle joints. They stand behind it in most cases but it's important to note the the foxwing is not and is not intended to be self supporting in another of its corners. I believe the Bat is designed to be sel supporting and after seeing it in person can say that I think it too would be wide to tie it down during high wind situations. in low to no wind I would think it would hold up without support and under all conditions I think it would
Hold up better. But you pay a huge premium for that.

It will come soon. Look up Expeditions7 for pics. It's the rack on the truck, got to see tehm up close and get some great input from Scott Brady at Cruise Moab and OX12.

You probably have yours mounted slightly differently.

Yeah, I had mine upside down at first but I can't fit in the garage either way so I flipped them around as per their instructions..Works either way though..

No idea of timeline, buy I heard the line would cover most of the Rover/Toy offerings. Probably similar to the FR in selection.

Pricing is still TBD but expect it to be true to South African product imports. My wild guess (and that's all it is worth) would be $1600-$2200 complete. I was told it would be similar to FR.

fantastic setup you have there. I was searching for a roof rack and stumbled accross this thread its always good to see the "real" use of roof racks and not just on advertisements. I am going to get one of these for my landcruiser, it too has a sun roof. I was hoping you may be able to tell me how much of the sunroof does your roof rack cover up, do you ever have the sunroof open (the inside) so light still comes in or is it useless now? I am tossing up between two models of the rhino rack pioneer platform, the 04 mode which you have (2128mm long), or going slightly smaller to the 03 model (1926mm long), the 03 model apparently only covers up about 200mm of the sun roof, and the 04 one covers up 370mm. Any chance you can take a picture from inside your truck to see upwards too at the rack? BTW again your setup is awesome!

The rack covers the entire sunroof, however light is still able to pass through between the slats. The rack does not interfear with the tilt/retract of the sunroof.

Just fitted a pioneer platform + a foxwing awning to my 06 100 series love the setup read all this write up many times haha i opted for the smaller rack which belongs on the prado had to redrill the middle crossmember but other than that it fits perfectly doesnt stick out past the roof at all and the foxwing hugs closer to the roof without sticking out much at all and turned the brackets upside down works great
