Reverse wire in tailgate ?? (1 Viewer)

2006 LX with back up bulbs in tailgate. I am trying to tap into the wire to power additional LEDs in bumper. Which wire is correct? There is a red w/black stripe entering tailgate then just the red at bulb. I would rather tap into the wire before the bulb. Thanks

I would probe those wires with test light.

2003 EWD shows it as red/black, don’t have the ‘06 though
