I purchased these new door panels and the color description (let's just say was incorrect).
I decided to just order a yard of vinyl of the exact color from Corbo the company that I got my seats and back bench sheet from all in the same color and they sold me a yard of vinyl with the foam backing already attached.

I took it to my local upholstery guy and he tried to act like it was gonna be hard to sew in the pattern that matches the original FJ pattern. He said it would take him 7-8hrs minimum & $120/hr. My mind was blown.

I added some pictures for your reference just so you guys have an idea in your mind of what I'm talking about.
I also found multiple pictures of people who have reupholstered their door panels with sewing the original lines back in not necessarily to the exact, but very, very similar.

Anybody have any ideas on who else I could take this to to get this reupholstered? Considering I have all of the material materials needed I just need someone to sew the pattern

My mother has extensive sewing experience, but just regular stuff (clothing etc) and a regular sewing machine, nothing industrial. Is it possible to have her try?
I mean I'm just looking to get something extremely similar. I don't wanna deviate too much from the original pattern.

I doubt my worm drive Singer could do that and it will do about 10 layers of denim. The hand crank china shoe patcher sewing machine $120 can do 3/8 + leather. But if you just sew the pattern in the vinyl with the foam backing mom could likely do it then glue it to the backing stiffener.

That guy doesn't want the job - so the price is sky high, that way he doesn't have to tell you NO.

Dye the cream ones to match your seats.

Maybe it's time to learn a new skill. Id bet a 15-91 singer worm drive would do it. A regulator home unit probably wont work. A 15-91 is a little more robust. You'd be limited on thread size. Tracing the pattern probably be the most time consuming. Then find a good contact adhesive.

Reach out to @a1500ram and see if they can use your vinyl to make you panels.
