Hello,

Maybe somebody can help me with a likely fuel injection problem.
When driving on a flat with about 2000 RPM and say 60 km the engine is perfectly stable. Now when there comes a hill even a very shallow one the engine decellerates. I cleaned the water seperator and that did not help. Anybody any idee what could cause this phenomenen?

Regards,

John

Hello, and welcome to MUD!

You may want to provide a bit more info (what vehicle, what engine etc) and as much details on the problem as you can, so people can try and help better...

since you said water separator i will assume that you have a diesel....i don't know what toyota uses for a fuel pump, if it is a mechanical pump it could be the governer isn't working properly....

Hello,

When driving on a flat

Well... DUH... You need to put air in the in that tire !

BTW .. You have a water seperator ? O.K.... Now I`m Pi$$ed !! .. My salesman told me that I had EVERY available option on my 100 !

:)

After giving us the useful details - year, engine, transmission, model, miles, mods and a picture maybe we can help.

If we can't then you should try the international forum as they have much more experience with the oil burners.

Is the transmission down shifting or unlocking the torque converter ? The truck has a incline sensor to help determine shift points and such. So if you are on the edge of a "gear range" then the slightest change in incline could cause a change.
