My 84 FJ60 conked out on the expressway this weekend and since we were already late I had to just have it towed to the dealership. Turns out it needs a new fuel pump.
Are these hard to install for a relative newbie? I bought this LC so I could slowly learn to do the lower level stuff myself.
The dealership wants $317 parts and labor (includes $85 for the diagnostic already done).
I am more curious than anything since I will probably just have them get it done for convenience (and to avoid spending more $$ on towing).
Thanks for any input.
BTW, the good news is after two hours reading the archives, I diagnosed the problem myself. That makes me feel all warm inside...
