Hey all I'm new to Forums, I have had my 60 series for almost three years now and it's been great, it had slowly made its way from Canada, so it has the 3B in it. I was driving my girl back from church and it started miss firing and then it just shut off in the middle of the road, so I coasted to the side of the road. I immediately thought it was a fuel issue and still thing it is some kind of solenoid, I changed the fuel filter, and cracked all the fuel lines, and I am not getting any fuel past the injection pump, I can get a little fuel to cylinder 4 but not much else. I think it is the fuel injection solenoid, but wanted to know everyone's opinions, and where I would begin to find a new solenoid.

Does your 3B have the rotary injection pump or the inline injection pump?

It looks like this

Thats an inline pump.. if it spluttered to a stop you may have an ingress of air into the system.. This guide I wrote for the 2H is entirely relevant.

Crack the bleed nipple on the filter housing, pump the primer pump until you get good spurts of diesel out of the bleeder and then try starting it again. If it runs but then splutters to a stop again use the guide below to start ruling things out.
