redarc tow-pro elite brake controller request (1 Viewer)

Can anyone with a redarc tow-pro elite brake controller on their 80 (I suppose it can be any rig) measure the voltage at the brake output on their conector with the car off and also at idle without the brakes being applied.

I'm getting 1.5 V with the car off and at idle without and brakes being applied.

What's your issue. Is your controller newly installed?

I just installed mine. I believe there is supposed to be a calibration period.

Yes, mine will not come out of calibration mode nor can I switch to manual mode. The oh-s*** button works. I can feel the trailer brakes working if I only hold down the knob so I’m left thinking it’s the brake tap.

I’ll get back tomorrow on the issue. I couldn’t get to it today.

Fixed my issue but the answer to your question is no, you should not see voltage until you apply the brakes.

Redarc got back to my email. They said that the voltage is due to calibration. Once calibrated, I should see 0 volts.
