Heres a look at a RED WINCH side by side with a WARN VR series 12K winch, apparently @TRAIL TAILOR will be selling these and they are worth every penny. sadly my @4x4labs front bumper is literally 3/4in too narrow so Im asking Luke to build me one that will fit, but if he cant any ideas on who could build one kinda soon ish. I checked out every winch offered up and this RED WINCH blows them away by a LOT> Billet machined look at the drum knurled just leaps and bounds better JMO oh and the gears are modular so you can remove the 13000lbs gear and put in the 16000 and you have a bigger winch. Yea.............

R,

I will have them as soon as RedWinch restocks the EXPII Looking like 4-5 weeks.

You actually got one of the two available that was on my stocking order and I released so they could send them out. I have a few of these on my stocking order.

FULLY CNC MACHINED WINCHES!

And I fully appreciate it, these are nothing like anything Ive seen at shows or in moab rado etc. next level and my warn totally failed which was the reason I bought this cheaper than a 8274 too. but I still need a bumper built

My old front bumper will accommodate the EXPII and the 24.8" offset winch. I haven't made one in a while though..

Luke is building me a bumper that is same as my bumper now, BUT with 25in off space because the Explorer adveture is 25in wide with no fairlead plate as the winch has it built right on. I dig that bumper though, and your UPPER CONTROL arms are sick way better than the slee's and blackhawks Ive had.

So these are less money than a Warn 8274?

These seem tough to order. Red Winches did not respond to my email, nor did their lone US distributor.

Damn good looking engineered winch. It will be interesting how the finish holds up in the harsh East coast environment. The In cab freespooling feature is a great feature having used it a lot on the Warn Zeon in the past. Leave it to RFB to go over and above the norm.

Ok with your comment about freespooling in cab I HAVE to use a air toggle for freespool. this is my second red winch first ones freespool failed. should I put free sppol inside or on front bumper? Im not digging all this extra crap at all. the free spool is air acuated and the new winch they gave me has to be plumbed to air toggle.
