So I got the old rope off the drum of the HF12k on the '80. Drum has some surface rust:
Not quite bad, no pitting, I'll run the wire wheel for a bit to clean it up. Since the truck lives in AZ, I suppose I could leave it like that. But what's a good paint in this case?
