2+2mm but if you use weld through primer it needs just a bit higher setting than the steel thicknes.

Nice. Did you have drill any hole prior or did you just hold both panels and squeeze the trigger

Just took 2 pieces of scrap put them on top of each other between the jaws and squeezed. 1/2 sec and done.
It is however important to apply enough pressure and the points have to be directly opposite of each other.

Kind a like doing the wedding vows.

Do you have a step up transformer or is one in built for 400v?

Next I cleaned the edges and fitted the new inner rocker.
Here it is ready for welding.

As I have to replace the top of the dash and repair the fire wall I need the exact size of the bottom of the window frame. Therefore I made a template.

Update time.
testing the fit of the DS inner front fender.

When the holes for the hinges line up the air inlet is off.

I cut the panel.

and made it fit correctly.

And welded it back up.

Then I mounted the door on the PS and test fitted the triangle in front. This is not the best fit.

The alignment was off and the top was to narrow. The bottom was to close to the door.

I reshaped the top of the triangle and ground off a bit of the underlaying structure at the bottom.

It lines up much better top and bottom and with the fender on.

The DS door is a different story.
It has seen some “work”. This is the bottom.

Looks like someone has added some random steel and bondo.

There is supposed to be a reinforcement between the top of the skin and the window frame which is gone.
3D11D8F9-596E-464F-A4CA-6F404D51039F.jpeg

And the skin is cracked and repaired in the middle.

This door will need more than a skin.
