Hello,
The trim piece towards the front of my rear window is cracked in two places. It's cracked in the same places on both sides of the vehicle. Are those replaceable? If so , does anyone know what they are called and maybe the part number? Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I found them on Lexus Parts. They are called: Moulding, Quarter Window, Outside Front. Right is: 7564160021 Left is: 7564260021. I can get them both through Bell Lexus delivered for $57.58 or PartSouq for $45.72.
Has anyone ever replaced them? Or do I need to stop being lazy and open my FSM?

Just did this job. I took a block of wood and mallet to remove the old ones. They used urethane from the factory to attach them.

Took a razor and trimmed the old urethane down on the glass, being careful to not completely remove it, as the new urethane bonds to old urethane best.

Then put a bead of urethane on the glass, and put the new trim on, using some tape to keep it in place while the urethane cures.

No need to remove the window.

Thanks for your reply. I have finally gotten around to doing this. I am replacing the belt moulding, so I removed the glass. I hit it with a heat gun and it does not seem to want to budge and I am worried about breaking the glass. Sharp razor blade did the trick for you? Thanks

I just hammered it off, but it was still in the car, so it didn't move. It's just glued in with urethane, but perhaps trying to cut some of the bond would help. It may be worth it to just reinstall after you finish everything else so you can have it held well while you hammer it off.

I always thought those two lines/cracks were supposed to be there?
Edit: acetone may help break down the adhesive, not positive tho.

I have read here these can be replaced w/o removing the glass but I personally didn’t think for a second to attempt that way. With the glass out of the car it’s a very straightforward process.

Thank you for your reply. What method did you use to remove the moulding? I'm using a heat gun and plastic razor blades. Not having much luck.

Mine were very brittle and I used a pair of pliers to gently “twist” the trim enough to get a razor between the trim and the interior facing side of the glass. I removed them in quite a few pieces. There is no solvent that works on urethane that I know of. You have the right idea with heat and razor.

Thanks for that feedback. Then to attach the replacement moulding I bought clear JB Weld epoxy. Did you use something similar?

I used urethane. I think epoxy could work but might never come off again should the task need to ever be repeated in the life of the car. I used 3M window weld and a Home Depot caulking gun.
