Looking at these new rear view mirrors that have built in dash cams, back up camera, etc. Anyone ever use one? Like it? Which one, etc.? Any advice is welcome. Thanks.

I just installed the Wolfbox G850 with the permanent mount. I wanted a backup camera to display on the rear view instead of the navigation screen.

That looks very interesting. Do you have photos of your installation?
I'm evaluating the LAMTTO unit. It does not have "lane departure" or front warnings like the Wolfbox.

My G850 does not have lane departure or front warnings either. Here are a few photos of the install. It was pretty straightforward.

The rear camera is inside the vehicle mounted on the plastic trim just above the rear glass. There is some glare but it's not horrible.

I would like to upgrade the reverse light bulbs. I need more light for the camera at night when backing up in areas not lit that well.

Is the sensor for the Auto dimming Headlights located on the back of the OEM mirror?

I believe there is a photo cell on the front of the mirror. If I have a headlamp on and look at the rearview, it will dim quite quickly. There's a little 'hole punch' in the glass, not easily visible. Pretty sure that's it.

Definitely recommend the wolfbox. Get the upgrade WDR camera and it's been great . In night, rain (no matter what camera you'll let limited visibility from spray), fog it has performed better than expected. I read al ot of reviews, and thought it be lackluster or poor a night.

I have a Wolfbox G930 with the upgrade to the WDR camera. It's great and works well. It's the first thing that gets compliments when people ride in my LX.

Lots of info here:

Do you still have auto-dimming side mirrors? I haven't actually looked, but like @MongooseGA said, I think the sensor for that is on the back (front?) side of the factory rear view mirror.

I have a wolfbox as well with the permanent mount from ebay linked above. I mounted the camera just above the rear license plate. At night, it's not great due to the glare from headlights. If the camera was mounted a little higher, it may be better but I have not adjusted it. Otherwise it is a ton better than the original mirror.

To be honest, I did not realize that the LX470 had auto dimming side mirrors. To answer you question though, I haven't really noticed the absence of the auto dimming side mirrors. My windows are tinted so that probably cuts down on bright lights in the side mirrors at night.

Also, yes there is a sensor on the forward facing side of the mirror. I went out and took a pic of my OEM mirror.
