What is the difference between the steel and aluminum, just weight? I really don't want to miss this group buy but would like to know the difference between the two so I can decide which to order.

Yes weight is one of the differences, which can be a factor in shipping costs or if you are watching the lbs on your 80. Although Aluminum is lighter, Steel is stronger and will not bend as easy (let's say you were to lean on a tree branch while wheeling) and there is a break in the price for Steel
Although I powder coat everything I produce for a nice complete professional finish there is the subject of Corrosion Resistance. Aluminum's greatest attribute is that it doesn't rust. I hope this helps @Teebo

The powdercoat is a smooth matte finish, really quite nice.

I use IFS Coatings inc. - Matte Black Texture PLFM 10028

It's a subtle texture / matte that works great for large surfaces and doesn't show all the fine scratches like the simi gloss might. I'm really happy with this coating.

I think as vendors we should not sling crap around regarding other vendors. We make products that we believe are good for the Land Cruiser Community. We build them to the best of our ability with the skill set and materials available.

I have opinions regarding other vendor's products like everyone else but DO NOT voice them because of ethics and integrity. I could fire back like I did yesterday (and for that I apologize) but today I will not. Our windows are not equipped with gas struts and are slightly different sized but with good reason.

►We feel based on our experience of several years of use the window needs to be adjustable. If your 80 is equipped with an awning you are going to have problems with a preset gas strut window.←FACT You need adjust ability for clearance to avoid damage to your awning or possible your RTT when open and you get it with a rod system. Our prop rod system is set for over 6' clearance (based on a perfect set up 80 series) but can be manually raised, almost 100% vertical for much more access. Got a 29'r bike its not going to fit in the other guys smaller window but it will fit in ours.←FACT It can also be adjusted lower with the rod system to clear your awning or RTT. The rod provides less obstruction getting stuff in and out. Again this is no way is a hate post on the other window just the facts on the difference.
