Is there any options out there for an easy upgrade for the rear bench seat? I have done the fronts to some gray PT Cruiser heated leather seats which worked out perfectly. Now I am thinking about the rear. I may just have to have them recovered/rebuilt so maintain the original functionality of the design to fold flat for cargo.
Thanks in advance, I really found very little on this with search function.

I have also looked around for some different options. Catch myself wandering what bucket seats would look like in the back?

I have the same problem. I did my front buckets, and i have the matching rear bench, but it doesn't come close to matching the shape of the original 60 bench.
I have not found any threads for fitting a new rear bench.

Those Rover seats look great and seem to fit well. I wonder how much work was involved to fit them?

The original 60 seats should be a very straightforward job for an upholsterer. The insides are just springs and jute covering under the vinyl. I added headrests to my rear bench to update it a bit. I also added three point rear belts for my kids' safety. Not a hard job. Check my "Turdle" link for more details.
