Rear Locker for FJ45

Need to pick your brain's please.

Which ARB Locker would fit the rear axle of a '78 FJ45. I suspect RD124, but am not sure, because ARB does not list the FJ45.

Has someone fitted a Locker to his FJ45?

i have a detroit locker in the rear of my swb nad it seems to fit exept im having a problem with the ddriver side axel is rubing, but it fits in the housing alright, dont hold me to it but i think they used the same axels in the 40s and 45s but im not sure, good luck.

biggest question is full float or semi float?

as I understand it, the semi float arb's will fit in a full float diff, but not the other way around, as you couldn't get the "C" clips in there.

Aussie locker would be much cheaper.

Cheaper,yes.Selectable,No.Don`t get me wrong the Aussie locker is great(been beating on mine for 3 years)However if you got the cash selectable is the way to go.

IH8wood dropped one off at my shop last week to put in a full floater for his FJ60. Should be the same axle. PN was RD033 IIRC. Same one that fits the FJ80FF if that helps.

Ok, my vehicle has Semi Floating, so I suspect ARB Locker RD124 will work then. Well, I hope! Don't want to import the part and then find out afterwards it doesn't! :whoops:
