Hey - I’m looking to replace both rear axles in my ‘84 FJ60. Can anyone lead me in the right direction? Thx

There are none available new. You will need to source good used replacements.

They’re no longer available new but some vendors have something- used.
Attached picture shows the part numbers.
Enter a part number in internet search and a few vendors will come up.

first question is
why do you think you need to replace both axle shafts?

what are your symptoms?

Thank you. My mechanic/restorer of my classic cars said he pulled them and they are toast.

could we see some pics?
unless the splines are twisted or worn or the bearing area is bad, there isn't much that can go wrong with them
guess they could be bent also

I recommend calling Cruiser Outfitters.(@cruiseroutfit ) there's a chance they can source some used ones for ya

Ya better get a better answer than that. Unless the splines are twisted from abuse or the axle seal face is
so badly pitted they just won't seal it's hard to see how they 'are toast'. I can see one being bad, but
not both.
Put a pic here of both axles with close ups of what your restoration guy is justifying the reason, there
are many options available before you go further.
