If it has one, it is near the distributor vacuum advance unit, under a plastic cover, according to the maintenence manual. Adjustment is done as follows:
Align the setting line with the threaded end of the housing, and then align the center line with the setting mark on the housing.
Drive the truck at 16-22 mph in high gear on a level road.
Depress the pedal to the floor - a slight pinging should be heard, and go away as it the vehicle accelerates.
If the pinging is loud, or does not go away, retard the timing by turning the know towards the 'R'.
If there is no pinging at all, advance the timingby turning the knob towards the 'A'.
