Todays antics finally gave me the excuse I needed to post up proof that I actually do own a landcruiser. Its a pretty humble little rig and yeah I know the rear shackles are long and are at a bad angle but it gets me around every day and I manage to have quite a bit of fun in it. Today I and a friend went out to look for a reportedly abandoned agronomy university out in the countryside. We found the creepy place truly abandoned and still filled with desks and equipment, just lacking people. Anyway, as you can see in the vid we were poking around the grounds in the cruiser and I stuck my nose down an incline without knowing what was down there and could not back up (doh), so there was only one thing to do, go for it. Actually, after thinking I was quite screwed, I tried again a couple times, this time using the throttle with a bit more grace and managed to walk it back out out of marsh, hence the "Victory photo". The first pic is a LINK to my "stupid gringo" vid, cheers.

The main thing is you're having fun with it. That's quite the complex behind you, an abandoned univercity? Interesting. And thanks for the video, nothing like a good "Oh s**t" to get your blood pumping !!

Hi All:

Where are you at dude? Are you actually in Brazil??

It looks warm . . . . . I like that idea! :D

Regards,

Alan

sorry

Hey, sorry I forgot to advise about the profanity content!!!!:whoops: Actually, my blood only started pumping when I stopped moving, i thought I would cruise right out on pure momentum. Took me a few tries to figure out that had to drive like I was on ice, then it was easy. Way to much throttle.

Alan, much worse... Peru. But guess what, I´m from SEATTLE YAH BRAH YAH YAH YAH... sorry- been here a while. Comming up for xmas though, gona hit some parts hideouts! Would really appreciate if you could clue me in on where to find some odds and ends. Original signal lights, red turn signal dash lights, wiper knob, 4sp bellhousing, windshield hold down hardware for the hood, original turn signal mechanism and how bout a mint original horn button (67)? How bout the famous Puyallup guy with a field of crusiers? Dyin to see that. Gona get some good shocks, 2100 motorcraft carb, steal a big twin electric horn off of some 60´s american dinosaur, quality brakes, brake master, clutch master and slave, I forgot right front bumpstop..haha. What else am I missing (besides a roll cage)?

cheers

Hey TLcruzr, I´m just a short hop from there actually, Iquitos. Did you ever get down there?

Mark...

Mark,

Yeah, I passed through Iquitos a couple of times, mainly just to pick up supplies. I spent most of my time up on the Maranon and Ucayali river systems (late 80's). I think Peru is where I first got interested in Toyota Landcruisers. Back in the day, they had FJ-60s running all over the jungle down there. How long have you lived down there, and what do you do?

Regards, Joel.

Hey secret agent, those are some interesting looking little black helis there, whats the white diagonal stripe on them? Dont´by chance fly one of them do you? Cmon, you can tell us.

Regarding "little crops", you mean like bonsai trees? Thats the only thing that comes to mind. Oh, I guess that would be "miniature crops" huh.. Nope, I have not had any interest in little crops since I was about 15, homey don´t play dat, have not the need nor the interest. Once though, I was sick from malaia on a local flight and the DEA connected airport cops took me for a drug smuggler who´s condom had opened in his stomach (flying the wrong way). The took me down and searched all my property, house and all, for 4 hrs while depriving me of water (dehydration plus malaria can be fatal). Then when they nor thier hound found not a friggin shred of anything illegal they took me down to their dank-assed hospital and xrayd my stomach and held me for another 4 hrs still without giving me any water. Finally the ignorant %$·%ers dropped me off at my house at 5am saying "make sure you take your electrolytes". Futher commentary withheld.

Just messin' with ya. I'm not a pilot just the rear door gunner....the stripe? it's for racing...It would be A LOT of fun though to be ab;e to relax and explore in that country, I have never been.

Damn, is that guy for real??!? The video is believable but I know that doesn't make it real.
