Rare Find - FJ55 Amulance Version!!! 11-19-2013

74 FJ 55 Ambulance version (rear doors swing sideways, extremely rare). Blue/White, original interior (passenger seats 10 passenger) in excellent condition (still needs some minor work), minor rust around rear wheels, in line 6 cyl gasoline, manual transmission, runs real nice, glass and rubbers very good, factory roof rack & corner mounted steps, daily driver. Excellent candidate for restoration! LOCATED IN COSTA RICA. I have shipped 11 cars to Miami, I know the drill! The shipping is pretty much spot on at $1200, the cars price is a mispost, my error, the price is $9,000, I am trying right now to make the correction, new to the site. I'll figure it out in a bit. Total price would be $10,200. I can provide a contact for the customs broker in MIA, I don't know much about pricing at that end, but it's not much. I've shipped 11 so far and just bought another yesterday, should go within 2 weeks to MIA.

I am not getting into the 55 debate as I do not know much about them, but as far as posting pictures, if you don't already know, you can purchase a silver star for $20 and that will allow you to post as many pics as you want. Seems like a worthwhile investment if you want to sell rigs on this site.

We have shipped 11 Land Rovers to the States this year, specifically to the Atlanta area for restoration. Just widened our efforts to include Land cruisers. It's a private family shop and has no interest in the Ambulance, just BJ40's (diesel), but I know it's rare and thought to market it outside our group. If your serious about the car we can help to legitimize ourselves somehow. BTW, we are finding that the Cruisers here don't seem to have data plates on the door post or inner right fender, any comments there? I suspect it may be a US requirement, but not down here. BTW, i spent 8 days in Costa Rica last month and looked at over a dozen cruisers for sale ... every one of them had rust or rust hidden behind a veneer of bondo and paint.
love the country, great people, i could move there in a moment.
