Flipping isn’t bad and at least he improved it some.

I’m just poking fun because I tried to buy it and that guy beat me to it and then “wanted to keep it but something came up” which makes me laugh. Something always comes up making them sell after someone buys a truck well below market.
 
Patience grasshopper. 😂 I think a lot of people over paid for a lot of stuff and we are getting ready to see some deals. Fb mp prices are down and things are not being bought immediately.

This. I am pretty sure that's going to happen over the near term. I can't quantify "near" but can say the lackluster T bill auctions recently have shown we have a LOOOONG way to go before things get to anything resembling "normal."
 
I would not hold my breathe on prices of any of these old Toyotas coming down. The market over the last 30 years has proven that older Toyota 4x4s tend to keep or increase in value. Of course not talking about the old “I know what I got “ rustbucket listed for $12k. Having said that. There is always going to be a good deal come up here and there. The key is to capitalize on them.

Agreed. However the 100 and 200 series have really come back to reality quickly. And many more for sale. There were certain fun cars that were worth more and now people know. I'm seeing those fun cars come back down just as fast as they went up. Along with sporting goods, campers, and boats. BAT has seemed to cool a little as well. I check marketplace like once a week on a regular basis and items are sitting longer and with price drops.

Nice @weejub . We found a lx470 for her a few weeks ago in Cheyenne WY, and really happy with it. nice clean car that is begging for a lift and armor, but she wont let me touch it. Clearly Bad parenting 101.

I bought a $500 2nd gen 4Runner a few years ago. I thought it was 4x4 but found it wasn't when I got there. The guy selling it said so many people had come and looked and left when they found it wasn't 4x4. He kept lowering the price while I was there until I couldn't pass on it for $500.
